Pine Marten in the forest - version two
Ardnamurchan has to be one of my favourite places to visit in the UK, not only for one of my favourite species, Pine Marten, but that it feels truly wild and therefore a rare sight in the UK. Wildlife is abound and the scenery is simply stunning. I thoroughly recommend anyone even partially considering a visit to go - you won't regret it.
The only downside is the midges during summer, but they're a necessary nuisance for the ecosystem to thrive, and with a midge head-net you can keep them away.
It certainly shouldn't stop anyone from visiting the area, and it definitely won't prevent me from continuing to return for as many times as I can over the coming years.
