These courses can be booked as 1 or 2 days depending on what you would like. The workshop is aimed at beginner and amateur photographers who would like to learn either the basics or more advanced camera techniques.
I think the best way to learn is with practice and with a practical subject you enjoy - classroom tuition only gets you so far. What better way to get to grips with your camera than being out in the countryside! Both wildlife and landscape photography should be enjoyable, so these workshops can be completely flexible; relaxed or intensive. We can start at a time that suits you and finish when you want, although I do recommend a full day to get the most out of the day.
I approach each workshop in a relaxed and informative way and make it my personal goal to ensure you come away with not only some great photos from the day but more importantly a greater in-depth understanding of your camera to continue taking great images.
The day usually starts with a technical overview and then putting those techniques into practice. I aim to explain the technical aspects of photography in an 'easy to understand' way, giving real examples along the way. There is a lot of technical jargon within photography but I'll be there to break it all down to give it a proper context.
The subjects we can work with, whether wildlife or landscape, will change depending on the season. If you have a particular subject you'd like to focus on please let me know at the booking stage.
I always recommend sturdy footwear and layers of clothing. Depending on the time of year the weather can change constantly through the day, so it is best to prepare. I will advise any special requirements for footwear/clothing depending on subject and time of year at the booking stage.
